Sopris.ai is a one-person practice based in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
I collect your name and email address only when you hand them to me — through the contact form or the newsletter signup. I use them to reply to you and to send the newsletter you asked for. I do not sell them, rent them, or trade them. You can leave the list at any time with one click.
When you use the contact form. Your name, your email address, the service you selected, and whatever you write in the message field. This goes to my email inbox so I can respond.
When you subscribe to the newsletter. Your email address, which is stored with MailerLite, the service that sends the newsletter.
When you simply visit. Aggregate traffic data through Cloudflare Web Analytics — which pages were viewed, roughly where visitors came from, what kind of device they used. This is privacy-preserving by design: it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and does not track you from one site to another. I cannot tell who you are from it, and neither can Cloudflare.
When you respond to a survey. If you fill out a survey I have sent you, that runs through Google Forms and your responses are stored there.
This site does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics beyond what is named above.
To answer your question. To send you the newsletter if you asked for it. To tell you about classes and sessions you might want. To understand, in aggregate, which pages on this site are useful. That is the whole list.
Three companies process data on my behalf, and each is bound by its own privacy terms:
Nobody else. I do not share your information with other businesses, and I do not sell it under any circumstance. I would disclose information only if the law required it, and I would tell you unless prohibited from doing so.
Contact form messages stay in my email as long as the conversation is useful. Newsletter subscriptions stay until you unsubscribe. Ask me to delete something and I will delete it.
Unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of every newsletter. It works immediately, and I will not email you again about the list.
Ask what I have. Email me and I will tell you what information I hold about you.
Ask me to delete it. Email me and I will, and I will confirm when it is done.
You do not need a legal reason to ask, and you will not get an argument.
This site is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
I use reputable services and sensible practices, but no website can promise perfect security. If something goes wrong that affects your information, I will tell you.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, I will update the date at the top and note what changed. Meaningful changes to how I handle newsletter subscribers' information will be announced in the newsletter itself.
