These terms cover the use of sopris.ai and the training and consulting services offered through it. Sopris.ai is a one-person practice operated by Patrick Curry in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Using this site means you accept what follows.
An information site describing AI training and consulting services, along with articles and videos. There are no user accounts, no logins, and no payments taken on this site.
Registration for a Small Group Series, a Specialty Session, or hourly consulting happens by conversation — through the contact form, by email, or by phone. Community classes at Colorado Mountain College are registered through CMC directly, and CMC's own terms apply to those.
Payment is by invoice. A seat is confirmed when the invoice is paid, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Cancellation and refund terms are set for each service and are stated at the time you register and again on your invoice. They differ by service — a three-session series, a one-day intensive, and a single consulting hour are not the same commitment — so the terms that apply to you are the ones given to you when you purchased, and those are the ones I will honor.
If I cancel a session or a series outright, you receive a full refund.
Dates occasionally move. If a session is rescheduled you will be given as much notice as possible and the option of a later group or a refund.
Training and consulting are educational. I teach how AI tools work and how to use them well in your own work. I am not providing legal, financial, medical, or tax advice, and nothing taught in a session should be treated as such.
AI tools produce output that is sometimes wrong, and they change constantly. What you learn is how to use them thoughtfully and check their work. Decisions you make using these tools remain yours. Any results depend on your own circumstances and effort, and no particular outcome is promised.
You are responsible for complying with your own employer's policies and any professional obligations you have when you use these tools.
Sessions reference tools made by other companies. Your use of those tools is governed by their terms and their pricing, not by mine. I have no control over them and no responsibility for them. I am not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a reseller for any of them, and I do not receive compensation for recommending any tool.
Handouts, slides, recordings, and written materials from a session are provided for your own use and remain my property. Use them freely in your own work. Please do not republish, resell, or redistribute them, or use them to teach a paid class of your own.
If a session is recorded, participants will be told before recording begins.
Text, images, and site design are mine. Read, print, and share links to anything here. Do not republish substantial portions as your own.
Sessions are small and mostly held on Zoom. Treat other participants with respect. I reserve the right to remove anyone whose behavior disrupts a session, with a prorated refund at my discretion.
Links to outside sites are provided as a convenience. I do not control them or vouch for what they contain.
This site is provided as-is. I do not promise it will be available without interruption, and I may change or remove content at any time.
Please read this section carefully. It limits what I can be held responsible for.
Services and site provided as-is. This website and the training and consulting services are provided as-is and as-available. Beyond what Colorado law requires, I make no warranties — express or implied — about them, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. I do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any AI tool discussed in a session will perform a particular way.
Limit on damages. To the fullest extent permitted by Colorado law, my total liability to you for any claim arising out of these services or this site is limited to the amount you actually paid me for the service the claim concerns. I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if I was told such damages were possible.
What this section does not cover. Nothing here limits or excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, willful and wanton conduct, or anything else that Colorado law does not permit to be limited. Some limitations are not permitted in every state, so parts of this section may not apply to you. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Garfield County, Colorado.
I may update these terms. The date at the top will change when I do. Terms in effect at the time you registered apply to that registration.
